Can you believe the year 2024 is almost half way through? It’s like a blink of an eye and there’re only 8 days left until July.
Looking back the past fews months, I don’t have many projects finished compared to last year. I guess it’s because I did a few bigger projects this year so it reflected on the number haha.
Today, I would like to share a few small projects with you:

1.This is a mini flower pot that I made for my partner. He picked the colors and it turned out super adorable!
I used milk cotton 4-ply yarn and a 4.5mm crochet hook for this project. I followed this tutorial with English caption on. I used two strands for the flower part and one strand for the rest. Although I did purchase a bag of green wire to be wrapped by green yarn for the stem, the tutorial mentioned that you can also substitute it with other materials.
I’ve already purchased some mini pots online and I’ll share with you when I finished making more lovely mini pots of flower! Don’t say that I did not warn you, crocheting flowers can be addicting haha.

2. This is a mini pouch made with shell stitches. I’ve always thought this pattern is quite challenging and has this on my to-make list for years. After frogging it multiple times, I finally made it! Yay! How can we not love the texture and colors?
I used milk cotton 4-ply yarn and a 5.5mm crochet hook for this project. I followed this tutorial and it’s in Japanese. Unfortunately, there is no English caption. If you’re not familiar with Japanese, you may try to slow down the video or find other tutorials with the key word ‘shell stitch’ on YouTube.
This one is big enough to fit my Kindle. I’m thinking of making another one with a thicker yarn and larger hook, and perhaps a different color way. It would definitely make a cute crossbody bag.

3. This is a pot with mini flower coasters that I gifted to my mom on Mother’s Day. It’s a very lovely and practical design that would look well in any color combinations.
I used milk cotton 4-ply yarn and a 5mm crochet hook for this project. I followed this tutorial for the pot and added one more row to make it slightly taller. For the coasters, I ended up following this tutorial instead and I just love how chubby the flowers turned out!
If you’re looking for a quick and simple project, or something cute for home decor, you should give it a try. It is also beginner friendly since you only need to learn how to make one pot and coasters (multiple pieces). Once you’ve got a hang of it, you’ll find the pattern pretty easy and straightforward, not to mention how this would make a perfect gift for friends or loved ones as well.
It’s nice sharing my projects with you and I hope you enjoyed them. If you would love to share yours as well, please feel free to leave a comment and happy crocheting!
P.S. The top photo is a Kitty Scarf that I’m currently working on : )
